Ask Experts About Virtual Advice

William asks…

What is macro/microeconomics like with flvs?

I am thinking about taking macro/microeconomics but havn’t taken any economic classes yet. I do have a good amout of knowlege about the economy but I’m not sure if my basic knowlege will be enough to grow off of in the class. Can anybody give me any advice? (I’d be taking it with florida virtual school so any tips on that wouldn’t hurt either)

I agree with Cthulhu fhtagn. The Principles of Macro and Principle of Micro aren’t very hard, you do need to be able to think through problems. Your knowledge about the economy isn’t really going to help you much for these intro classes. If I was going to give any advice, go into these classes knowing nothing. Everything that you think that you know about the economics, get rid of. The first words out of my professors mouth for Prin./Macro were “Half of you will fail this class because it goes against everything that you have been taught your entire life.” I find that this does hold true. Good luck and study.
